Space worth coming home to.
Alatorre Architecture designs custom homes, additions, and renovations. Proudly based in Huntsville, Alabama, and serving the surrounding communities.
Most houses get approved from a plan on a table. You squint at the kitchen. You guess at the hall. You hope the rooms feel the way they look on paper. Then construction starts, and changing your mind gets expensive.
That is a strange way to decide how your family is going to live.
This office learned to design in environments that had no patience for guessing. The Voyager space station. Payloads flown to the ISS and the Moon. None of that is going into your house. What came back from that work is a habit: understand the whole environment first, get the details right, and finish the planning before anyone picks up a tool.
Then we hand you a headset.
You walk the house while it is still a model. You stand at the sink. You look down the hall. If a window is wrong, we move the window.
It is a different kind of space. Planned like the problem is complicated. Felt like a home before it is built. Made to be a place you are glad to come back to.
